Sponsor A
Child Program
The Sponsor A Child programme aims to provide a solid foundation to
60,500 children who have been affected by the war or the boxing day
Tsunami. Your contribution will be used to provide the basic
necessities of each child so that the child has the opportunity to
attend school and develop for the future. Children are chosen on the
basis of need and potential regardless of their sex, race or
religion. Families are encouraged to care for the children within
the family environment with your donations providing financial
assistance. A social worker is allocated to every 150 children to
monitor progress and provide a written report to the respective
sponsors.

TRO has grouped the beneficiaries into six main categories:
Displaced due to war, Displaced due to high security zone, Affected
by the Tsunami, Affected by landmines, Single parent family and
Assistance needed for higher education.
