One day special meals
program
The
Tamils Rehabilitation Organization has been implementing development
projects since 1985 in the war-torn Northeast of Sri Lanka on the
basis of humanitarian service to the afflicted. The two decades war
thrust on our people has ravaged our homeland and destroyed our
social fabric, the worst affected being our children. We have
several Children’s Homes to care and brighten the lives of thousands
of these children.
At
these homes the children are provided with not only food, clothing
and shelter but also with education, love and affection, and an
atmosphere for healthy personality development.
The
participation of our Diaspora is crucial for the success of this
noble endeavor. Towards this end, the TRO has introduced the “One
Day special Meal” program. By participating in this program you
could delight these children on a day that is special to you.
When you celebrate special days such as birthdays, Wedding,
anniversaries, and commemorations, you could in the name of your
loved ones, share your enjoyment or remembrance with some of these
children by providing as special meal at one or more children’s
home(s) of your choice. By this, TRO hops to build a bridge between
you and the children.
